Building Momentum: How I Stay Inspired and Keep Going
š„ The Truth About Staying Motivated (Even When No Oneās Watching)
Hey š,
Letās be realāmotivation fades.
Even the most disciplined people wake up some days feeling stuck, uninspired, or just⦠tired.
But hereās what most people donāt tell you:
Momentum isnāt a burst of energy. Itās a decision. Repeated daily.
And thatās exactly how I keep goingāeven on the days when the spark isnāt there.
Let me show you the 5 things I actually do to stay inspired and in motion š
1. I Donāt Wait for Motivationā I Create Triggers
Motivation is a mood. Itās fleeting.
What works instead? Triggers.
For me, itās playing one specific playlist when I work, lighting a candle, or reading one quote I keep taped to my wall:
āYou didnāt come this far to only come this far.ā
What are your triggers? Build a ritual around them.
2. I MoveāBefore My Mind Talks Me Out of It
Hereās a simple rule: Action beats hesitation.
When you move your bodyāeven for 5 minutesāyou signal your brain itās time to show up.
Try this tomorrow:
š 10 pushups
š 5-minute walk
š Jump around like no oneās watching
Momentum isnāt mental. Itās physical first.
3. I Keep a āMomentum Folderā
Itās a private file with screenshots of people Iāve helped, things Iāve overcome, and goals Iāve crushed.
On low days, itās a reminder: Iām not starting from zeroāIām building from experience.
Create one. Fill it with proof that youāre already powerful.
4. I Talk to My Future Self
Sounds weirdābut it works.
Every morning, I ask:
āWhat would the 2.0 version of me do today?ā
Then I do it. Not perfectly. But consistently.
That future version of you? Theyāre already waitingāyou just have to catch up
5. I Focus on the Next 2 Inches
When the whole mountain feels too big, I zoom in.
Not the full climb. Not the final goal. Just the next two inches.
One step. One task. One win.
Thatās how you build momentum. And thatās how you keep it.
Hereās what I want you to take away from this:
You donāt need to feel inspired to start.
You need to start to feel inspired.
If today feels heavy, just move two inches forward.
Momentum will meet you there.
Letās build forward,
